It is now being reported that US District Judge Charles Breyer, the judge overseeing the 3.0 liter diesel case, set the date of November 3rd for the next update. For the next update?? Really? How about for a conclusion? This scandal, and the settlement to resolve it continues to drag on at a snail’s pace. While the 2.0 liter diesel case has made the most progress, even those owners are waiting until October 18th when the judge will supposedly approve the settlement and allow the buyback and settlements to proceed. Us remaining 3.0 liter diesel owners appear to be the tail on the dog. At this pace, it will likely be 2017 before any meaningful conclusions are reached.
My advice… find another brand to do business with, but hold on to your Audi so you can settle up when the time comes.
This is ridiculous. I would suggest emailing the judge at crbpo@cand.uscourts.gov.

The other challenge is no dealers want to take them in as trades.. well they will but it’s a smack in the face when they tell you what they are “Worth”.. more like Worthless !!

Not to mention I got an email from the local dealer to come in and test drive the new Audi…sure !!! My trade is worthless at this point…test drove the X5 and sat in the TESLA SUV last week…i like my 2014 3.0tdi q5 but vw is a crappy company to deal with…I will steer everyone I know to go to another company if they continue to drag their heels…
